Welding Class 9

I have been showing information regarding welding for the last few weeks, but today I asked my self. Why do we want to use welding? Why our client ask us to do welding? Why welding, why not other joining method?

I have been doing some research through the internet, from one website to another and this are the things that i want to share.

1. Welding is cheap : Nowadays people are really concern about cost saving. In order to produce tee joint pipe, basically there are two ways of fabrication that is reliable that I know. First is the welding fabrication and the other one is casting. Compare to casting, welding is far cheaper than casting.
2. Welding equipment is small: As the technologies grows from conventional to sophisticated, the welding machine have become from big to small scale machine(portable). Advantages of this portable welding, joining process and be done INSITU (on the site) without we have to bring the material/part to a foundry.
3. Welding process is simple: The process is simple but require skill and experience to produce reliable result. That is why, certificate is given by DOSH to a qualified welder.
